Hi.
This is Apafis2112, and this is my Battlefield 4 tips.
This is the first in my four-part series covering
each class in Battlefield.
Today, we're covering the Support class,
and I'm only covering the LMG's mostly,
but I'm going to cover some of the quirks
about being a Support class and help
you get to your first service star.
First thing you will notice, is that LMG's are nothing
like any of the other guns in the game.
You are going to have to unlearn what other guns, or even
other games, have taught you while playing because they all
handle heavier, they all have more recoil,
and they are generally more sluggish.
But keep in mind, each gun acts differently
and is completely unique and has its own complexities.
For example, the MK5 and the RPK handle
like an assault rifle would.
But they also have smaller clips and generally pack
less of a punch than the bigger guns like the Type 88
or the LSAT, whose magazines are 200 rounds, as opposed 40.
And you can read the statistics on all the guns,
but generally you're going to have
to feel it out for yourself and pick the gun that's
right for you and stick with that gun.
I try to try every gun and I promise you
that if you know the gun you can get
kills with any of the LMG's, with any
of the guns in this game period.
My personal favorites are the MG4 and the Type 88
just because the clips-- the magazines-- are huge,
the damage is really high, and the recoil is manageable.
But no matter which LMG you choose,
you're going to want to pepper the trigger.
First of all, if the target is anywhere further than 40 yards
away, you're going to want to pepper the trigger.
You just pepper the trigger, trust me.
If you go in shooting like you are Tony Montana,
you will miss, and you will feel stupid, and you will die a lot,
and you will get pissed.
And another tip that I have is to play more cautiously,
play slower when you have the bigger guns.
Don't be afraid to stay back for a little bit.
Don't be afraid to let even teammates go in front of you
when you're going into small quarters
because in close quarters you generally won't win.
And if you try to run with LMG's like you are running
with a SMG, you're going to get it *** up every time.
You might get lucky, but odds are
that the damage from that assault rifle
or that-- some machine gun or carbine-- is higher,
and the amount of time it takes them to get their scope on you
will be twice as fast as you can get it on them.
And I don't know for certain if you
lose health quicker than the assault in Engineer class
would, but you certainly don't get your health back
as fast as they do.
So try and play with that in mind.
And with all that I'm saying about the classes--
the Support class-- it may sound like the Support is
at a disadvantage, but don't get me wrong,
the Support has plenty of advantages
over the other classes.
One of them being, if you equip the bi-pod
and chill back on a choke hold, your gun
is pretty much invincible.
That is one of the clear advantages in your Support.
So your job is to lay down covering fire for teammates,
especially on objective mounts, like Conquest and Rush.
So there's a clear advantage.
Also you'll come to notice that having large magazines is very
helpful, especially in situations where you'd
be loading a lot as an assault, or you'd be-- just having
a larger clip is generally pretty helpful.
And once you get past the initial learning curve,
the Support class is probably one
of the more fun of the classes to play as.
And generally with the way you play,
I always say play smarter, not harder.
Play as smart as you can.
The more you know your class, the more
you know what you're doing, where you're going,
the better you communicate with your team-- always
be throwing out that ammo-- the better you'll do,
the more fun you'll have in general.
And I hope you found this video helpful.
I'll be doing more tips.
Hopefully I think the next one I'm
going to be doing is the Engineer
and going to try to have that out before Valentine's Day,
because I'm going to be covering the Titanfall beta.
So I hope you enjoyed this video.
