Okay, so I recieved two packages today, first one was this QJ Skewb that I've already unpackaged,
and it was from the cubicle.us. So, this obviously came all the way over from the United States,
and it only took six or seven days to get here, and I'm in the UK, so that's pretty
fast. Now I did pay quite a bit for this puzzle, I can't remember exactly how much it was,
I think it was about £14 (including shipping and insurance) and basically Skewbs, these
types of Skewbs, they are quite hard to find online, well for sale online. I've got a lot
of puzzle shops in my favorites menu and most of them don't sell Skewbs, and the few that
do usually sell the LanLan Skewbs and I wanted to get one by QJ because supposedly the QJ
ones are better quality. So I only found a few QJ ones for sale, and this was basically
the cheapest one that I saw online. So I'm not really sure why these are so expensive,
but, there you go. Okay so let's take a look at the box, so there it says 'QJ Magic Cube',
and it says the same on top as well. On the side it says 'The Cube', and it says 'QJ Magic
Cube completely new to come into the market', well I wouldn't exactly say this is new it's
been out for quite a while now. And it just basically says the same stuff on the back,
and the same stuff on this side as well. And on the bottom it says 'The Cube' again, and
it says 'Life is like QJ magic cube', 'Made in China', '0-3' sad onion, and there it says
'Warning: Chocking hazard, small parts, not for children under 3 years', and there it
says underneath some would you call Arabian writing? I'm not sure, it says 'Tested according
to international standards', and there it says 'Not suitable for children under 3 years
due to small parts. So, let's open it up. So there you've got white opposite yellow,
I think this is the standard colour scheme, then you've got orange, blue, red, and green.
There you can see the QJ logo, bit of a blemish there on that sticker, it's kind of like a
purplish dot, and underneath the stickers you can see it's like a kind of a round shape,
you've got a round shape underneath every siticker (well, the large stickers anyway),
so I guess that's just part of the cube and not something to do with the stickers themselves.
And yeah these sticker they look quite nice, they're kind of reflective, they kind of remind
me of those high visibility jackets, they've got that kind of reflectiveness to them (it's
totally not showing up on camera). So let's see what it turns like... turning is pretty good, it's obviously got
a clicking mechanism. It does feel a bit dry but after it's been broken in it may not feel
that dry anymore, cos surprisingly some cubes feel dry at first, but after you've broken
them in they don't feel dry anymore, which is kinda weird. I've got absolutley no idea
how to solve this, but I thought since I've got the squished skewb, I thought I may as
well get the regular one as well. So I've got another package here, and this is from...
HKnowstore, it's nothing that exciting, it's just... well I'll show you what it is... so
there's the HKnowstore card... it's just basically two lot's of lube. So it's basically Calvin's
lube, and this one is medium viscosity and this one is high viscosity. I got both cos
I wasn't sure which viscosity would be best so I'll basically try them both out and then
I'll be able to decide which I like better. Usually I'd use dry silicone lube for my puzzles,
but I was thinking maybe this might be better, and plus I have heard that some, well, I've
heard that all dry silicone lubes do temporally melt the plastic on your cubes, which kinda
sounds strange, but it doesn't sound that good anyway, but yeah, that's pretty much
it, thanks for watching.
