Hi. So I was asked how I got into this. I suppose the first time I took the test was
a Freshman in college. Seemed very stupid at the time. We just came up with 4 letters.
There wasn't anything behind it, we just gave the teacher our 4 letters and then she
would list off things we should do in the future. I had already decided I wanted to
go into science and that's what I did. Yeah it seemed really dumb, I didn't really see
the point of it but I took it again 5 years ago at a friends request and I scored the
same way. That's pretty much it. I think what really drew me into this, I study personalities
anyway, but going by category, besides the fact that it's a pattern and pleasant to
think about, there's a little picture, an avatar, for an INTJ on one of the websites.
It's a child with bright blue eyes staring at a chess board and I thought, "Woah that's
me." Even if I didn't take the test, if I just looked at the pictures and saw that
I'd be like, "That's me." So I think anytime you feel that kind of connection to something
that's as generalized as answers to a test you think "Well there might be something
behind this. I think I'll follow up." And so I am! As for trying to be an INFJ,
no. I'm not, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't do it. I'm just trying to broaden my
horizons, increase my scope, whatever you want to call it. There's nothing wrong with
pushing yourself out there, and there's also nothing wrong with who you are! I feel
like Mr. Rogers every time I say stuff like that. Um, but yeah this is meant to be a collaborative
channel, and so, any personality types are welcome to add their input as they want to.
I'm not trying to exclude anyone, I just like the idea of a bunch of INTJs throwing
ideas up into the air, helping each other keep them up in the air and increase them.
We're good at that and "Why not do that right now?" Was my question and why isn't
something like that happening right now? With that said, I can drag this out by myself but
that just seems so boring! I would love to hear other people talk about what they know.
If you want to make a video, and actually I have no idea how to string them together
but maybe you techies out there can help me. That'd be great, wouldn't it? We would
be the nerdiest group ever on YouTube.
