Hi. I'm Marianne Howell-Wright, with Triangle Area Real Estate in Chapel
Hill, North Carolina. Usually we go in the front entrance to Briar Chapel,
but I think that it's not the real story. I'm going to take you in the back
entrance to Briar Chapel today.
Margaret Pollard Middle School is located off of Andrews Store Road at the
back entrance to Briar Chapel. Across from the school is where the action's
happening. Off in the distance is the Woods Charter School. You can't
really see it through the trees, but I can hear the kids playing. As far as
we can see, they're putting in lots. There's water and sewer already in;
utilities to a lot of the lots up in the back of the neighborhood. It's
hard to show you the huge scale of the new part of development. It's acres
and acres that will be houses by this time next year.
I'm going to drive you up the street, down the parkway, the main street in
Briar Chapel, and go by some of the newer sections. The houses on the left
are by Garman Homes; they're our new builder for the neighborhood. The
multicolored houses off that you saw were Saussy Burbank. We're driving
down and looking at homes by Dickerson right now, all along this parkway.
We just turned off the parkway and made a left turn on Serenity Hill
Circle. As we pass a mixture of different builder's houses, we go around
the corner and we'll see homes by David Weekley. They're pretty big and you
get a lot of square footage for the money with Weekley.
As we go up towards the end of Serenity Hill Circle, we'll see some Saussy
Burbank homes; that's one of their signature styles. There are a few
townhomes, although they didn't sell very well. I'm going to go back
around. This is the area I really like, Dark Forest in Bennett Mountain.
The lots are a little bit larger, the houses. That was my new listing at
$445,000. As we go up Dark Forest, we are going to pass the Drees Homes
model on the right. We're back up at parkway.
I'm going to drive back out down the parkway and I'm passing the clubhouse
right now. If you're from a different part of the country, Northern
Virginia for example, or in the DC area where my family's from, you're used
to seeing this big construction, big projects. Here in North Carolina, this
is Chatham County; there are usually cows grazing on land like this and
maybe even deer stands.
We're leaving by the front entrance to the neighborhood with its beautiful
trails, woods, and acres of common area. Thanks for coming along with me on
my third update for Briar Chapel. I hope I showed you a little bit of a
different view than I have in the past. This is Marianne Howell-Wright, and
I'm leaving Briar Chapel in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
