What's up? Matt Guff here for The House Snowboard Shop, and this is an Artec Nima Jalali. It's
funny because I was thinking about this board, I was thinking about how sweet this graphic
is, and I was thinking about Nima. I thought to myself, you know what? I think I picked
him up as a hitchhiker leaving government camp, going up to Timberline Lodge in the
summer of 2004. Nima, if you're watching this and that was you, let me know if it was because
I've been thinking about it all this time.
Anyway, if you are watching, this is your Pro Model it has a good design. I know you
needed a board that needed a lot of control and a lot of toughness. This is a twin tip
board. It is a Pro Model, and it has some really cool side wall technology. It's called
the Tritech Technology. It's actually a sandwich sidewall technology. You can see how it looks
sandwiched. There's classic ABS side wall on this, but inside those two sidewalls, sandwiched
in between, is a visco elastic dampering layer. The side walls are at 30 degrees. It think
it's a cool idea, and I think it works. The core is a low-density, ultra tech, poplar
laminate wood core that runs from tip to tail.
The glass is pretty interesting as well. It is a composite beam glass, which means that
it's made of carbon Kevlar reinforcements in the Nordic glass that runs from tip to
tail and from rail to rail. The base is called a Beta base. It's going to stay fast and durable.
Nima wanted a base that was pretty much bombproof. You can ride it over rocks. I'm not saying
that's a good idea, and that's good for your base, but it's going to hold up compared to
a lot of other bases that are out there.
It does have the HyperTec camber technology as well. Do you know what camber is? Thank
God. I'm glad that you do. I'm just glad that you do. The camber technology is opposite
reverse cambe-what everyone seems to be getting nowadays. Camber boards seem to have and do
have a lot more pop than the reverse camber board. That's Nima Jalali. He likes to ollie
high. He likes to be an aggressive rider that spins quickly and jumps high. It is also a
twin board, and Artec gives this a Flex rating of a 2.5. So it's going to be a little bit
on the softer side, but it's going to be very, very snappy. It gives it a huge 4.5 star tech
rating. A lot of cool features. I love the high tech side walls. This is the Artec Nima
Jalali.
