How To Tie a Tie: The Pratt (Shelby)
Video shot in mirror-image
Start with the wide end of the tie on your right
with the seam facing out.
Hang the wide end of the tie
approximately 12 inches lower than the narrow end of the tie.
Cross the wide end of the tie behind the narrow end.
Bring the wide end of the tie up through the loop
around your neck going front-to-back
keeping the wide end of the tie to your left.
Cross the wide end of the tie across the front
keeping a finger in the knot.
Bring the wide end up through the loop around your neck
this time going from back-to-front.
Finally, bring the wide end of the tie through the knot where your finger is.
Tighten the knot.
Slide it up to your neck.
And there you have the Pratt also called the Shelby knot.
