Times have changed!
When I was young I would have to walk or drive to the doctor’s office
just to make an appointment.
Or I would have to go to a friend’s house and knock on their door
just to tell them something.
Many Deaf people had those old TTY machines they would type on and the floor would vibrate
and shake when they used it because it was so heavy.
And the interpreting field back then was much different than today.
Times have changed.
And just as times have changed, technology has been changing rapidly.
Think about those huge computers they used to use
compared to the tiny laptops we carry today.
And with emerging technology more resources are becoming available.
Are you up to date with the newest information that’s in the field today?
Maybe you’re in need of some different resources such as websites, DVDs or newsletters
which would provide a wealth of information to get you up to date.
If that’s the case, PEPNet, which stands for Postsecondary Education Programs Network,
can help by providing information, in-service trainings, and different areas of expertise
to give you the tools needed to help enhance educational opportunities
for individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
