We're talking today about chokes and headlocks, how to apply them and also how to get out
of them. Now we're going to show you how to take advantage of using somewhat of the setting
sun technique and that brings his body closer and how to take advantage of that, to also
be able to counter his choke. So he chokes me, before when we explained this we said
that you break the hold and you step back but also you can also step forward, when you
break the choke it brings his body in. You can take advantage of that by throwing an
elbow strike or down at the lower part of the body, you can actually take, break down
and brings him closer and you throw a knee strike up into the groin. So you can take
advantage of also his body coming in towards you. Also you can take and break it down and
then you have a strike to the throat or you can actually begin to maneuver to be able
to get him into a headlock. It depends on how tall he is also because he's a little
bit taller than me it's harder for me to be able to reach up and bring him all the way
down. So my best bet since he's choking me is to actually throw some type of strike into
the crane technique. Because he's taller than me I also have to be aware of me being able
to try and get him into a headlock. It's going to be a lot harder. So if he's choking me
my best bet is to use the setting sun technique to draw him closer to me and be able to throw
maybe an elbow strike or a knee strike to the lower part of the body. However, someone
in my own height I have a better bet of possibly being able to throw that elbow strike to him
but also to be able to get him into a headlock. So it's just one simple way of using the distance,
covering your distance to your advantage by using the setting sun.
