For me, what I took out of it is the awareness that music doesn't stop at - you know - the
page, and it doesn't even stop at the end of the stage, it stops - like, you know - at
the people responding to it and that includes everything from the time, the place that the
music happens, the group of people that were in the room, the size of the room, the amount
of time between pieces, and what you eat before you got there, and what you - you know - talked
about afterwards.
If you are in a big group of people that you enjoy very much and you leave the concert
and you all reaffirm to each other like five times that what you heard was the best thing
you ever heard, that's going to stick more in your brain than the isolated experience,
in my perspective."
