"Balado" is a cooking style of Minangkabau (West Sumatra) people
Chilies are ground together with other spices (e.g. shallots, garlic and limes)
Instead of being served as a dipping, the chilies are cooked together along with the main proteins
For this webisode, we're making "Ayam Goreng Balado" ["Balado"-style fried chicken]
Here, we have fried chickens, the Red Spice [from webisode #3]
salt, white pepper, and, of course, cooking oil for sautéing
The oil is already hot now
We can put in (the Red Spice)
Then, normally, we turn down the burner
So, the chilies will be cooked just nice, and yet they won't be burnt
It's gonna take awhile, about 15 minutes
Otherwise, the chilies' still gonna be raw
T: We can add the salt and white pepper F: Put in the salt
F: White pepper, no? T: Yeah, we can
To make it tastes good
F: And then? T: Put the chickens in
F: Chickens, in? T: Put the chickens in
Now, this is what I'm talkin' about
Kinda hard to stir
Use this, I'll help
For those (chilies), just pour them in
Easy, isn't it? Quick and simple
Smells good
Just have to eat them now
Thank you for watching this webisode today
