Hi, I’m Kerri.
And I’m Dave, and this is EW’s TV Recaps for April 1st.
The theme was “Memorable Years” on last night’s Dancing with the Stars,
which means that a lot of people told really emotional stories
that made Kerri and I feel all sorts of feels.
We’ve picked our top three favorite performances of the night,
and this first one was DEFINITELY the most emotional.
Amy Purdy continues to be an inspiration
to anyone who faces physical obstacles in life.
I loved the narrative behind that dance.
Derek was like her father picking her
up after she fell, and she moved so gracefully!
I don’t know how she was able to balance on those toes.
It was really impressive.
And when she hugged her dad at the end?
I lost my ***.
So beautiful.
Another great performance came from Danika and Val,
Who danced a breathtaking contemporary piece in honor
Of the birth of Danika’s son.
She even brought her son out to judging which
Pretty much guaranteed that she’d get a high score.
You know, I have never associated the word “foxtrot” with “sexy sex,”
but Meryl and Maks’ dance to John Legend’s “All of You” was SO HOT.
I don’t know how they didn’t make out.
I’m hoping NeNe and Max get paired
up in next week’s switch up because she’ll take it there:
These were all great performances and we heard
a lot of emotional stories last night,
but I think the most important moment was
when ANT BECKY AND KIMMY GIBBLER SHOWED UP
TO SUPPORT DJ TANNER AHHHHH!
I was kind of hoping that since she was paying tribute to Full House,
Candace would have danced to that song “Forever”
that Uncle Jesse sang with The Beach Boys.
Remember that song? “If ever word you said -- “
YES
