Full of willingness and persistence, we worked before the crisis, for the crisis.
Crisis does not only mean disaster, it also means opportunities.
My name is George Terizakis and my son is Theodosis Terizakis.
We are the third generation in my family who are involved with the fishing industry.
Our company name is Stella Mare Fishing. We would like to launch a product that does not currently exist in the Greek market
such as sardine fillet and anchovy which can be distributed in many forms
such as marinated with olive oil, smoked and raw.
The idea came from our youngest son, who has interests in cooking and could not prepare the fish himself.
He needed the fish to be descaled.
My son learnt about the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award online.
Facebook, Twitter, emails - all these means are not only for young people to spend their leisure time on.
There are so many more interesting things they can discover and participate in,
so I mentioned the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award to my parents.
If we win, the Award will push us so that we achieve our goal faster.
We would like Stella Mare to become a trademark for the Greek and Mediterranean meal.
Just as Northern countries have smoked salmon and Japan has sushi.
In Greece we strongly believe that we have great agricultural products, but we do not know how to launch them to the public.
This is a way for them to be launched at lower prices together with a high quality standard.
If Theodosis likes this I believe he could be the next in line to continue with this business.
