Hello and welcome to a new episode of "The Pharaohs of Egypt!"
Here we have our host,
the great Djoser!
And, I'm pharaoh Djoser.
With our co-host, Ramses II!
So, we have a new episode of "Pharaohs of Egypt".
And, it's just a big debate about which pharaoh's the best.
So, we're going to tell you their accomplishments, their failures,
the monuments that were built for them, time period, and etc., like other things as well.
So for our first pharaoh, we have Senusret I!
uh...
We told you the show was today...
Yeah, right, it is.
yeah, its today... Um... hi.
And for our next pharaoh, we have Akhenaten!!
Hi...
And for our last pharaoh,
we have King Tut
I'm Tut!
It's getting kinda frosty in here, right?
Yeah, we need our jackets.
Anyways, for our last pharaoh, we have
Pharaoh Khufu!!!
Hi people, I'm pharaoh Khufu.
Ok, lets get on with the show. Let's get on with the show!
Wanna know one of the best ways to get your stains out in the wash?
Well america's washer brands, maintain whirlpools, recommend "OxiClean".
and optimism
And now the dispenser for OxiClean! They know it's better for the spills, spots, and splatters.
but whether they're ground in, smeared on, or dried up, it doesnt matter!
OxiClean lifts away stains detergents can leave behind. Cleaner, brighter, and whiter.
That's the power of OxiClean. Now release two cleaning powers in one detergent!
Try new armenhamer plus OxiClean!
Cut off by the commercials again. I know, right?
Let's get started, yeah lets get started.
So we're pharaohs too, so we're going to be in this debate.
So Djoser, tell me a little bit about your life as a pharaoh.
Ok, well I ruled in the old kingdom from about 2630 BC to about 2611 BC.
I, um, increased the value of Egypt
by a great amount.
Because of my mining of precious gems, for example
turquoise.
So basically mining
tons of precious gems, rubies, emeralds.
But I also Egypt's, um, our land, to one of the Nile's
first cataracts.
From where we were, they counted that far.
I was also considered a great military leader,
or commander,
because I stopped countless attacks
from getting into our defenses.
If you didn't know,
and you can see,
this is my name in hieroglyphs,
Djoser right here,
Wow, there you are,
Jeez.
Hi, I'm Akhenaten,
and I believe I was the best pharaoh ever.
I was born in 1380 BC and died in 1334 BC.
Also, I ruled from 1332 BC to 1336 BC.
BC. During that time, I made the capital Ararma and made
it
replace Thebes, the old capital.
you see
I tried to make people believe in monotheism, and they cooperated very well.
I created the Great Temple of Aten which is
a temple to worship monotheism. I am called the Heretic Pharaoh.
Well Akhenaten,
you know the second after you died, you were rejected? WHAT?
Well yes, you see,
they abandoned the city Ararma and continued to believe in polytheism.
after you died
also, they destroyed everything that represented monotheism.
and which was an easy job because you didnt have my statues.
That's where I come in!
Wow, who are you?! I am King Tut, and
I restored peace to Egypt and I ruled from
about 1332 BC
to
about 1323 BC.
When I was king, I changed many things that my father did
back to normal.
For example,
I returned the capital of Egypt back to Thebes
and allowed everyone to be polytheistic.
Everyone was happy.
Also, I was called
"the Boy King" because I was
made king at the age of 10.
Well, it looks like you forgot the age you died at. You died at,
you died when you were only age 18 years old.
My research says that
you were born very weak and needed a walking
stick to get around.
everybody believes
that you were
murdered by skull damage because
when your tomb was found by archaeologists,
they saw some damage in you skull.
That was true, my head still hurts.
But remember, when I was ruler, I still restored Egypt after my father ruined it. HOW DARE YOU SPEAK OF YOUR FATHER LIKE THAT?
But dad, what are you doing here? I'm on TV!!! Anyways, my assistant here
would like to introduce himself.
Of course, I lived from 1303 BC to 1213 BC. And was third Egyptian pharaoh of my
time.
At age fourteen, I
was appointed Prince Regent by my father.
Also, during my early part of reign,
I focused on building cities, temples,
and monuments.
I established the city of High Ramses.
and the Nile Delta as my new character.
I ruled for 66 years, and during this time,
like I said before,
I built the most monuments and buildings out of any other pharaoh.
and
with that nickname of Ramses the Great.
You see right here,
come look!
Ramses the Great.
and my hieroglyphics.
Just to celebrate?
Huh? Senusret's gone!
Uh, wow, jeez! Well, that brings it to our next, and last pharaoh, pharaoh Khufu!
*clapping*
Hi, I'm Khufu. I ruled from 2551
to
2528 BC.
And lived from 2600 BC to 2584 BC.
I believe that
I am actually the best pharaoh.
One of my greatest achievements were building the pyramids of Giza
and reuniting Egypt once again.
The pyramid of Giza is also one of my best monuments.
Well you know Khufu, I built a pyramid too, probably considered better than yours.
I could't find any failures from throughout
my life.
That's the same with everyone, almost everyone.
No one has yet to find our failures because we told our fellow Egyptians not to record them.
Ahem, but I made 100,000 workers help me make this pyramid.
So they must have all been very dedicated in helping me.
Even though
I treated my workers cruelly,
I still built a pyramid two times the size of my father's.
Unlike my father I built one grand pyramid instead of two small ones.
