Good evening guys, this is Ilias the Ranting Greek Gamer and today we are reviewing Naruto, chapter 649.
This chapter could be called the "boost morale" chapter for the millionth time in this Ninja War,
because honestly, i dont see something here that i havent seen before.
Naruto fights Obito alongside Sasuke, but they havent been able to do any critical damage to him so far,
apart from breaking his defenses a little bit maybe.
Sakura thinks that maybe this is happening because he is sharing his chakra with just about everyone who is there,
but Ino explains to her that this is something that Naruto is doing subconciously so that he can help his friends.
Shikamaru shows us for the first time, just how much he values Naruto,
but even more, he shows how he always understood his feelings.
To the point where he wants to be Naruto's advisor when he ends up becoming Hokage someday.
But its not only Shikamaru,
all of Naruto's friends want to be next to him and support him as much as possible.
All the Kages and even the Raikage, who had many doubts about Naruto if you remember and he said once that bowing down is a sign of weakness, e.t.c, e.t.c...
he acknowledges Naruto once and for all and follows him into battle.
Hashirama apologizes to Tsunade and says that its because of him and his choices that things have come to this,
but Tsunade tells him that eventhough things are what they are,
his spirit and the "will of fire" have passed on from generation to generation and have made some extraodinairy people.
And honestly im glad that Tsunade said this,
because i always believed that this "guilt" that has been plaguing Hashirama,
and the other Kages as well,
to me it sounds a bit far fetched, but i will be more specific a bit later.
Finally, we get to see Kakashi again after a very-VERY long time (thank God for that :P ),
who looks like a surgeon in Grey's Anatomy, stiching his wound and getting ready to head back into combat.
And anyway, once again all the shinobi are all fired up and ready to "battle evil", e.t.c, e.t.c.
So: If we exclude Shikamaru's miraculous recovery and Kakashi's re-appearance after such a long time,
im sorry to say this but this chapter was - for me at least - yesterday's food all over again.
Its not the first time that we see Naruto being the only hope for the shinobi world and their survival,
and the shinobi supporting and rooting for eachother so that they can win,
(do note however that we see no signs of victory yet for some time now :P )
and if there is a small difference in this situation this time around,
its that Naruto finally has all the admiration and acknowledgment from the ENTIRE shinobi world, 100%.
Even from the Raikage who had lots of doubts about Naruto if you remember.
I liked seeing how Shikamaru admires and supports Naruto,
Although it seemed a little bit "too much" in my opinion.
because Shikamaru always has been in Naruto's life anyway and gave him his support one way or the other.
Also im glad that all the Hokage "guilt" stopped thanks to Tsunade,
who kinda brought Hashirama back to his senses, because honestly guys:
Personally, i cannot blame the Hokages about anything,
especially when they all tried to keep the peace and protect Konoha one way or the other.
Because to tell the truth, mistakes and wrong turns will always happen in our lives,
and if we are going to blame ourselves for everything that went wrong,
we might as well go and jump off a cliff at the end of the day, i mean come on :P
No one is perfect, we all make mistakes and take the wrong decisions sometimes, it unavoidable and its only human :) Plain and simple.
I was very glad to see that Kakashi is alive, stiching his wounds and getting ready to go to battle,
And something tells me that Kakashi will make the difference in the end.
And i will say this again and i have said it before and im sorry for repeating myself... BUT:
LET THE *** PLOT MOVE FORWARD!!
Im starting to believe that Kishimoto is delaying things for various reasons,
and as much as i like many things in Naruto,
im getting tired of reading almost the same things every week.
In all honesty, i feel that im getting more rewarded as a reader by the events in Bleach and One Piece every week,
than Naruto, which feels like yesterday's food almost on a weekly basis.
I just get the feeling that we are stuck with the same characters and the same situations every week,
and the plot ends up moving very-very slowly.
And this is something that for me at least, is getting very tiring.
I know that many Naruto fans are writting in the comments below in my Naruto reviews, that i am exaggeratng,
and that i shouldnt complain so much,
but im sorry: I am reading the manga and watching the anime for more than a DECADE now,
and honestly, if Kishimoto is implying that the manga is slowly coming to its end,
then i wish he would do something and finish it.
Because to me at least, personally as a reader and a fan, this is becoming very tiring,
and it makes me feel that everytime that i do my Naruto review every week,
i end up repeating and describing the same things again and again and im getting tired of it. Honestly i am.
I know that many of you will dissagree with me and its understandable and its your right to do so ofcourse,
but i hope that you can understand how i feel.
So this was my Naruto review for this week,
My apologies if i sound "grumpy", but unfortunately thats how i am.
If i see something that i dont like, then i will just plain say it, end of story :)
Have a good evening today, in whatever you may do,
i will see you in my next review, thank you ALL for supporting me as always,
and ill see you later, take care :)
