A low pressure system across the
Gulf States will work northward
along the Appalachian Mountains
while pulling a slug of moisture
northward into the Eastern
Kentucky. In return, showers
ramp up throughout today as
chilly highs in the 50's
prevail.
Off and on showers can be
expected this afternoon before
activity becomes more hit and
miss this
evening. Otherwise, conditions
dry out later tonight under
partly cloudy skies. Lows will
be
chilly with readings in the
upper 40's. A good mix of sun
and clouds take over Tuesday and
Wednesday
as Eastern Kentucky briefly
dries out. Unseasonably cool
highs continue into Tuesday
afternoon before
warming into the low-mid 60's by
Wednesday. Clouds begin to roll
in from the west as a
stronger cold front takes aim at
the Commonwealth. Showers along
with a few
thunderstorms likely impact the

with gusty winds and heavy
infall. As of now, the major
