Hi, today we're talking about the betta fish, also known as the Siamese fighting fish. They're
a beautiful fish, and they come in a variety of types. We have ragtails, twintails, showtails,
so all you have to do is pick out the betta fish that you like. My name is Michael, and
I'm going to show you how to set your beta up. First, we're going to find a bowl that
we like and set it up with water. You're going to use a conditioner, and all you have to
do is follow the directions for that. You want to make sure you have something that's
going to remove the ammonias, the chloramines, and make that water safe for the betta. Once
you have your water set up, I recommend letting the bowl sit for a couple hours with the betta
fish in the bag that you had bought it in, so that the temperatures can acclimate. Then
you're going to use your net, and you're going to pour the, over the sink, you're going to
pour the betta fish into the net and then place it into the bowl. We don't want to mix
water that we've gotten from other aquariums into our bowl with our betta. You can also,
there's different decorations that you can use. If you want to do gravel in the bottom
there's gravel, there's small plants. Have fun with it. Decorate it the way that you'd
like to decorate it. And when you feed your betta fish find yourself a pellet. Pellets
are easier than flakes, and all you have to do is give em' a couple pellets a day, and
you'll have a happy betta fish. So, enjoy your betta fish, and you have a good day.
