India, a country that boasts the world's second largest population at 1.2 billion,
continues to grow at dizzying speed.
Panasonic, who is expanding its business efforts in this region,
is holding an experiential exhibit, Experience Panasonic, in 4 cities over the next couple of months.
The first of the series of 4 exhibits was held in Gurgaon, an outlying city near Delhi.
A press conference was held on the first day of the exhibit.
Graced by the presence of Panasonic's eco brand ambassador, actress Ms. Dia Mirza,
the press conference introduced the details of the Experience Panasonic exhibit
and the "Life Innovation Container," which can independently supply energy.
An awards ceremony for the "Eco Picture Diary Contest" was also held.
Children entered their artwork,
which described ways in which they contribute to protecting the local environment.
The Ambience Mall, where Experience Panasonic was held,
is a busy shopping mall located in the center of town.
The Life Innovation Container was also exhibited outside the Ambience Mall.
The Life Innovation Container is a shipping container
equipped with Panasonic's solar panels and storage batteries.
It can be set up in places without the necessary infrastructure,
such as in areas without power supply or areas affected by disasters
to supply energy to medical, educational, and communication facilities.
There are many areas in India without power supply,
so Life Innovation Containers may be used in such regions for educational needs as well.
India continues to develop rapidly,
and so the needs for home appliances are also growing,
and at the same time, awareness for the environment is also on the rise.
Many people seemed to be very intrigued by the eco technologies and ideas Panasonic introduced.
After Delhi, Experience Panasonic will also be held in Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai.
Panasonic will continue to introduce products and ideas that reflect the needs of people in India.
