So, Adele is away this weekend
at an applied physics bootcamp.
which means... I am off the hooks!
Wow! Party time!
Tea party.
So I thought, since I have some time off
I might catch up on my photography.
You are surprised, aren't you? Like,
this chick can't even operate with the handy cam,
and you mean to tell me she does photography?
Well...
that's not a very nice thing to say,
imaginary audience member,
But...
Yes!
I do double a bit
Anyways, I was thinking I might go out for a walk.
I haven't really seen what the area around the house look like.
And maybe if you're lucky, I'll find something cool to take a picture of!
So, I'm on outside,
And it's not as cold as I thought it was gonna be
So ...
Let's gonna look for this pond.
And then hopefully, we'll get some pictures.
I've been trying to get a shot at the sky frame through the branches,
but I keep getting distracted
by the ducks.
So I found this awesome hell
and I don't know if you can see,
but the view is spectacular.
Anyways, it's getting kinda late,
So, I think I'm gonna head back
because I'm kinda worried I'm going to get lost, frankly.
So yeah...
No more pictures today.
But I'm definitely coming back here. Definitely.
So... Good day. Lots of walking.
Not sure if I'm gonna have a couple of blisters tomorrow.
Think I'm probably gonna be a little sore, but ...
Still good day.
Helen would have liked today.
She really liked stark,
Black and white
strong lines and all that.
I'm not really as good as she was, but ...
She was really talented.
She basically grew up with a camera
and I could really only borrow hers.
Mrs. Reed didn't think I should waste my time on photography.
Helen was my best friend in private school.
We were both kinda misfits.
Probably had a lot to do with growing up with John and his sisters.
They were really...
The point is that Helen was very nice to me.
She used to have this old film camera.
It was awesome.
I think it belonged to her grandfather.
We started hanging out in our class
when we were working on a group project together.
That's when she started teaching me about photography.
How to adjust the shutter speed and change the aperture.
Helen never really mind when people would tease her.
Even when she was losing her hair.
Helen had to go through chemo.
She had cancer ...
There's a lot of types of cancer, but anyway...
It's kinda complicated.
She's always liked to take pictures
shoot
before ...
She picked clouds or trees or
park benches.
She always took pictures outside.
Helen would have liked today.
