So... y'know I was thinking today about basically how I don't own a video camera and the implications
of that for my career and how absurd that is. Y'know, writing's supposed to be the hard
part or performance not pressing play on a camera. But the truth is I think the artist
and the craftsman arts and crafts technology the technician techne they go hand in hand
right? You need a stage as an artist to perform on, you need the sound to work, you need to
be recorded. So... when you start identifying as an artist at first there's a lot of ego
because "Oh, look how great I am I'm an artist I can write, y'know whatever it is." But I'm
starting to realize that I think the real heroes are the technicians the craftsmen,
because without them you really can't... you're art doesn't... you have no stage. So I wanted
to say thanks to George, whose now a Buddhist monk for some reason and Joey for recording.
I just wanted to say thanks to everybody out there, y'know. So... Shakespeare is someone
we all know, that most of us either like or think we should like y'know something to that
effect, right? So for me as y'know as someone trying to uhh... as some-... is that my background
music tonight? I usually have a guitar player. But anyways, for me as someone trying to hustle,
right to use someone else's work like as a gimmick y'know to represent it, y'know what
I mean? That's my hustle... Who better than Shakespeare. Right exactly, it's in the public
domain... it's perfect. You could butcher it and its still Shakespeare. Shakespeare
butchered is still probably going to be better. And most people... right because they don't
really know. So with that in mind this is uhh... MacBethian Witch-Chant Shakespeare
