Hi, my name is Catie Davis
and this is my Melbourne.
I'm studying Politics and International Studies
with a minor in social theory
and a Diploma in French.
I've been in Australia for a little over a year now.
I would say Melbourne's a really good fit for me.
Not only because of how
rigorous my course is
but also the location.
It's really challenged a lot of
my own ideas, my own beliefs
about people, about culture
because when you interact with it daily
you can't help but
expand the way in which you think.
I've had many nights where I have
felt the need to get out
and just came into the city
and wandered around and stopped at cafe's,
or pubs or went to the museum.
There's always something open and something fun.
If you're just willing to go find it.
I love that you meet so many interesting people
but then also the coursework itself
is challenging in ways I've never been challenged before.
So that's phenomenal.
Here at Melbourne Uni they don't just give you information
they teach you how to apply it.
I'll leave not only with a lot of knowledge but a lot of skills.
In terms of academic opportunities at Melbourne Uni
they have a lot of external lectures you can attend.
And I love that because it gives you
a lot of opportunity to pursue
things that you are interested that maybe you can't study
in your time here.
I would say if you're thinking about coming to Melbourne
as an international you just have to be ready to be challenged.
Because that's what so fun about it.
How you're challenged to grow
push yourself outside of your own box.
