Hi I'm Dr. Gregory Pouls and welcome to Your Nutrition Minute. Today I'm going to be talking
to you about why are so many Americans overweight, dealing with chronic pain, chronically fatigue
or dealing with chronic health conditions. It's our professional opinion that most Americans
have disconnected from the information and the knowledge of how to prevent disease and
how to maintain your health. And most Americans don't understand that our bodies are composed
of or made up of nutrition and not human made chemicals. Of course everyone knows we're
made of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, but are you aware of the many many nutrients
that we need to get from our diet, or from nutritional supplements to support and maintain
the structure and function of our organs, glands and systems in our body. And when we
talk about food, most people what they say is "I think about food, I think about what
it taste like, how it fills my stomach, and what does it do for my image. Is it goiong
to make me fat or can I lose weight? And it's not your fault. The reason for this is for
twenty years we've been bombarded with advertising about food that teaches us 3 things. What
does it taste like? How does it fill our stomach? And what does it do for our image?
There's very little information about the nutritional value of foods because in a lot of the commercially
grown foods, the nutritional values are very questionable, and if they even have the ability
to support and maintain our health. So the good news is this, at Your Nutrition we are
going to provide you with the information you need to safely and wisely use nutrition
to support and maintain your health. Yeah it can take some work and effort, but it's
worth it.
