It's so much fun. I'm a big kid. I've loved the Muppets for years, but until now I hadn't
met my new favourite Muppet Constantine, who is my favourite Muppet of all time and more
than that, he's my favourite. He's my best mate. I love him. He's an evil Russian frog.
And what's better than that? A talking frog that insults people for me. So I just have to laugh.
I did about a thousand junkets, and he was just rude to everyone. It was brilliant.
So you didn't make it into the first one. Did you have to do a lot of tickling of Miss
Piggy to make it into the second one?
No, they just called me up. I was on tour. I was doing an arena tour in Scandinavia,
and they called me up and they said: "Oh, did you want to be the lead in the Muppet
movie?" And I went yes. Yes, of course.
And what's the secret for them being so young still?
Yeah, I know. Botox, I think. Especially the pig.
So many people are showing up tonight hoping to see the film. What do you think they can
take away when they go and see it?
A goodie bag.
Yeah. No, it's funny. I think it's on two levels, so I think mums and dads will like
it as well. Great songs. Great songs, and an evil Russian frog. Come on!
What's the next move for David Brent by the way?
I'm going to do some gigs. I'm thinking of sort of doing a bit of a behind the scenes
sort of like special that he thinks it's like Scorsese does the Rolling Stones, but you'll
see the tragedy of David Brent. He has to take holiday from his wrecking job to do it,
and so I'm thinking of sneaking back a little comeback.
When can we expect that?
Oh, I don't know. I've got so many things ahead of that. Derek's coming out in April.
I've got Night at the Museum 3 coming out, so I don't know. But I'm trying, I'm trying.
I'm trying to get it out there.
