Metro is improving your rush hour commute beginning June 18, 2012.
Some Yellow Line trains will operate all the way to Greenbelt.
Metro customers north of Mount Vernon Square on the Green Line in DC and Maryland will
now see six Yellow Line trains each hour of rush hour – 3 in each direction - between
Greenbelt and Franconia Springfield, giving customers more frequent service to Downtown,
and the option of a transfer free commute for customers traveling to Virginia.
Yellow dashed lines will indicate the rush-hour-only service on the new map.
To help Metrorail customers navigate with ease, Metro maps have been updated to reflect
the new rush hour service.
Knowing your destination is the key to a successful ride.
Check the digital destination sign on the side of the train or digital information signs
on the platform. Listen to the announcements by the train operator to confirm the destination.
Thank you for riding with Metro as we continue to make your commute a better experience.
