Welcome to starting a poster collection. Today we're going to talk about upgrading your collection.
Basically what happens is you start out your collection, you buy a lot of things, you find
a lot of things and you buy a lot of stuff, and you move around and you acquire probably
of anywhere between twenty to forty items to the max. You may not have bought the quality
that you want. You may not have bought the item that you want. And you've decided, "okay,
I want to take my collection to the next step. I need to upgrade my collection." And upgrading
your collection is when you have the finances to do so because it can get to be incredibly
pricey to upgrade your collection. To go from a poster that has no damage like this, versus
a poster like this, which this poster has no damage, will probably end up costing you
anywhere between thirty to fifty dollars just to move from that poster to this poster. So
when you're going to upgrade, you need to understand that you're going to need to have
large cash reserves, and you're going to need to start looking at the things that you want
to move out. This is where bartering comes into play. This is where fan sites come into
play. This is where contacting the artist in general because if you want the, something
which is signed and numbered, you decide that you want the first and or the lowest numbered
copy that you can get, you'll, you'll find that you're going to have to spend high dollar
and you're going to need to be connected. To give a prime example, there's a Beatles
album called The White Album. And the first ten thousand copies that they released in
the U.K. were all numbered. Well, I saw one for sale of recent and it was number four
out of ten thousand. Well, the person who had it was John Lennon's Butler. So basically
you have to be connected and you have to know, and you have to know where to go and who to
contact to upgrade your collection appropriately, because you're going to have to start digging
and delving into places which are outside of the box.
