A reckless driving charge in Virginia can impact my record in other states because other
states have de facto suspensions if you are charged with going an excessive speed or if
you are charged just with reckless at all.
I have heard of some states in the Northeast that will automatically suspend if you are
ever found guilty of reckless driving for a period of time.
There are other states like North Carolina which have automatic suspensions or probation
if you are caught going over a certain level of speed. So even if you are not a Virginia
Licensee even if you think you were just passing through and you don't really have anything
to loose if you just go ahead and plead guilty to it or don't show up for your court date
and let the court find you guilty that's not a good idea.
You need to find an attorney who can investigate whats going to happen to you in your home
state if you are in fact found guilty of reckless driving in Virginia.
