This viewer understands that the time to make changes to your Medicare plans is October
15th through December 7th. They're wondering what can they do to make sure they're prepared
to make a confident decision. Well there's several things that they can do. The first
thing is a start with an assessment of, kind of, what your own needs are. How much health
care do you use? How much do you spend on prescription drugs? Are there specific benefits
that you really need or want to have as part of your health care coverage. The next thing
you can do is then compare plans, and a great resource for this is www.medicare.gov. This
is the government website. You can go online here and you can look at all the choices that
are available to you in your area, and you can actually compare different plans to get
a sense for what these plans cover, what they don't cover, and what the costs associated
with each of these plans are going to be. But, finally, if you're happy with your health
care choices, your health plans that you have today, and you don't really need anything
else, then you don't need to do anything because your enrollment will automatically renew on
January 1st of the new year.
