Some great advances have been made in physical therapy for wounded warriors,
but Scott Williams reports on a low-tech method that leaves the patients all wet.
[Williams] Meet Army Lieutenant David Inbody, who, like most of these men, lost part of
his leg when his Humvee hit a mine. If you ask David what he likes about SCUBA
diving, he says it's different and great to be in
the water. [Inbody] You have a lot of freedom to maneuver
and freedom of movement once you get down in the water,
the fact that I don't have to worry about a prosthetic,
I don't have to worry about anything like that.
I'm down, just floating. [water bubbling] [Williams] This submerged experience is a
welcome change to his normal therapy. I'm missing part of my body, but I can still
do a lot of things. I've just got to figure a new way to do those
things.
