On the Origin of Universe and Humanity
In this age, we are witnesses of various attitudes and multitude of different persuasions on the origin and existence of everything visible and invisible.
However, those differences are only variations of two main themes; for we can freely say that the world is, on these issues, divided into two big camps.
The first believe and claim that everything exists by accident; as an accidental consequence of the operation of accidental forces, accidental explosion
and accidental intermixing and development of various accidental elements and processes.
We came into existence by accident, and by accident will we disappear.
Others believe that everything was created by a Higher Intelligence, a Great Designer and a Great Artist – God
– and that life and existence have their deeper meaning and lasting, priceless value and uniqueness.
In the midst of the multitude of voices and discussions that we are being served; in the midst of manifold messages of scientists who toss around with billions
of years like children do with candies; in the midst of numerous complaints and insults to God and destiny, there stands a man.
In the midst of the abundance of smart talk and advice coming from suspicious sources; in the midst of the myriad of commercials,
movies and music that serve us their values and answers; in the midst of diverse conflicts, unrest and broken family relationships and marriages, there stands a man.
In the midst of the stack of lies, hypocrisy and deceit; in the midst of countless news about corruption and violence with which we’re bombarded every day;
in the midst of the swarm of voices about manifold exploitations and abuses; in the midst of the tumult and chaos of this world, there stands a man.
And sooner or later – actually pretty soon – he has to make his stand on someone’s side. He has to make decisions of eternal significance.
So, before you decide to believe in a theory which says you came into existence through a monkey as an accident of a big explosion;
before you accept the belief that life doesn’t have much sense, that it passes irretrievably and that you will disappear forever;
before you choose your side, stop for a moment, and in the midst of all this uproar of voices and theories,
listen to what on the origin and existence of the Universe and of man God has to say in his Word:
„God the Lord says— the one who created the heavens, the one who stretched them out, the one who spread out the earth and its offspring,
the one who gave breath to its people and life to those who walk on it ‘My hand founded the earth; my strong hand spread out the heavens. When I call to them, they all stand up.’
The Lord says: ‘Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. So where could you build a house for me, and where could my resting place be?
My hand made all these things and brought them into being I myself made the earth, and created humans upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens.’”
Here is a question of destiny: “Will you believe man and his limited, meager and unstable reasoning, or will you believe infinite God and his word?”
The Crucified Son of God, by his endless love, is calling you to believe the Word of God.
Be careful – on your decision depends your eternal life. Jesus is alive! Jesus is present! Jesus is wonderful!
