>>Hey, this is Chris from the ESET Knowledgebase. I'm going to show you how to log all connections
blocked by the ESET personal firewall and then export your log so that you can submit it to ESET Customer Care.
First we want to open the main program window, so we'll double click the ESET Icon in the
system tray.
The log all blocked connections setting is located in advanced setup, so to open advanced
setup we press F5.
So here we have the advanced setup window, and the log all blocked connections feature
is under Network, Personal Firewall in the section called IDS and advanced options.
You can see on the right we have the check box for log all blocked connections, so we'll
select that and click ok to save changes.
Now that each blocked connection is being logged, try to replicate whatever issue you're
having for ESET Customer Care to look at.
To export the log, click Tools, log files to open the log files window, and then select
Firewall from the log drop down menu. Right-click the most recent entry and select export from
the context menu.
Give your log file a name, and save it to your desktop.
Now you're ready to submit the file to ESET Customer Care. If you don't already have a
case open with Customer Care you can open a case online at www.eset.com/support/contact.
The next time that you reply to an email from Customer Care, attach the log file that you
just saved to your desktop to your reply. ESET technicians will examine the log and
contact you to help resolve your issue.
