Momiji: Ha~, lunchtime really is a time of bliss.
Nagisa: Yup~
Ayane: If you say it like that, than I also think this place has it's own worth.
Reiji: Heheh, that's definitely one of the perks.
Ayane: Especially for you Reiji-kun, no? Being able to eat lunch surrounded by beautiful girls doesn't happen that often, so
you could call it a harem, right?
Reiji: I definitely have to thank you all for this. If I wasn't welcome here,
I'd have to spend lunch staring at Ryuichi's face every day.
Momiji: In other words, you'd eventually prefer to eat alone rather than with Ryuichi.
Reiji: ...Well, it's just I've known that guy a long time. Something always ends up happening between us.
Nagisa: Ahaha. Sounds to me like this 'something' would be a fight.
Ayane: More like smell it. But that's one of the things I like about you, Nagisa.
Nagisa: I-I don't have such a strange hobby!
Momiji: Heh? What kind of hobby are you talking about?
Ayane: Fufu. It's something you don't know about, Momiji. Nagisa came and talked to me about it for a little while-
Nagisa: (Panicked shouting)
As I look at them, those three are as lively as usual, and it's just as Amamiya said to me earlier.
Being able to enjoy lunch like this is a rare privilege.
I laugh as Nagisa tries to make noise to get Amamiya to stop talking as I continue to eat.
Momiji: But, this place is like an oasis for us students...
Satomura apparently gives up on trying to follow the talk between Suzushiro and Amamiya, and turns to me and moves closer.
Momiji: It kind of sucks having to wait half the day to eat, doesn't it?
Reiji: Hey...
Momiji: But, it's not my fault we have to learn so long every day, I don't have that long of an attention span.
Reiji: ...Satomura, you just don't like to study.
Momiji: Uuu...
Nagisa: Hehehee, Momiji can't get motivated by anything if it doesn't interest her.
Apparently Suzushiro had succeeded in getting Amamiya to be quiet, as she suddenly jumps into our conversation.
Of course, Amamiya is quietly sitting there, gracefully drinking tea...However, she is calmly listening.
Momiji: It's boring to just sit there and look at things like that for so long. It wears me out.
Reiji: Well that's easy to fix. Satomura, you could learn something from Suzushiro, you know.
Momiji: Nagisa?
Reiji: Ah. Suzushiro always works hard, attending every class and taking complete notes.
I recall seeing Suzushiro do it numerous times during class, and I point that out to Satomura.
Reiji: Right, Suzushiro?
Nagisa: N-Nn.
Momiji: Fufu~, indeed, I should learn from Nagisa eh?
Nagisa: ...Uuu...
Reiji: Hm?
For some reason, Satomura is wearing a devious smile while Suzushiro has an mixed expression
between shyness and embarrassment.
Reiji: What's that smile for?
Momiji: Oh~ no reason. Nagisa actually does worse than me, you know.
Reiji: Eh? I-Is that so...
Though my image of Suzushiro was one of an excellent student...
Apparently, I've said something incorrect while ignorant of it.
Nagisa: B-But that's because I don't have a lot of time to study...I'm always busy training for the club...
Momiji: But than, how about me? I don't even take notes.
Nagisa: T-That's because you have a good mind, Momiji!
Reiji: S-Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you just because I thought you were good at studying, Suzushiro.
Ayane: By the way, my grades are the best in the school.
Momiji: That's because you're who you are, President. You were a genius when you entered,
so of course you've been top in the school these past three years.
Ayane: Oh, it's just that I refuse to lose to those that are worse than me. I only take the tests to be fair.
Ayane: More than that, Reiji-kun probably looks down on girls who aren't that smart.
Reiji: No, I don't care about that. I don't think the value of a woman is in their grades.
Ayane: Haha, that's good to hear. Aren't you relieved as well, Momiji?
Momiji: Mugahhh! I don't want to hear such a thing from you!
Ayane: Alright, I'll stop. I know you're just being sarcastic so I'll forget it.
Reiji: Maybe you're just fated to be a person who's best at everything?
Ayane: Oh, but I don't think a person's worth is determined by how much they study.
Momiji: Mumumumumu...
Ayane: Although I'll admit, even I study to at least keep up with the latest information.
Momiji: Hey, unlike Nagisa, I don't get red marks on my tests!
Nagisa: I-I get along just fine you know?!
Momiji: Well, other than Nagisa, we all seem to be just fine I guess.
Ayane: Yeah. Unfortunately, since she hangs out with us, Nagisa must surely feel like an idiot sometimes.
Nagisa: Eno-ugh! Quit picking on me you two!!
Although I'm a little worried for Suzushiro as she blushes from the other two's teasing,
we all know they're just having fun at her expense, and I think she knows that.
While thinking that, I feel that I should support Suzushiro, and I open my mouth.
Reiji: Well, thankfully there aren't that many people who judge others based solely on their grades.
Nagisa: T-That's true. Even though my grades aren't as good as those two, they're still pretty good to me...
Reiji: Ah. Girls have many other good points about them, like acting cute, and you know how to make a good impression.
Nagisa: Exactly, exactly!
Reiji: Yeah, for instance Suzushiro, girl's lunches are always so small. That's pretty girlish, right?
Nagisa: ...
Reiji: Is it because Satomura's lunch is even smaller?
I guess I can understand that, but you're still a girl even if you're lunch is a little larger than hers.
Momiji: Hmmm...that I look cute is an understatement.
Ayane: ...How surprisingly tricky. In that sense, I look even worse than Nagisa, but that's obviously a mistake...
Reiji: Huh?
Momiji: Reiji, look beside you, over there.
Reiji: Beside me?
When I look over in the direction Satomura points at, I see seven small lunches piled up high next to Suzushiro.
Momiji: Nagisa doesn't think she'll look cute if her lunch looked like a guys, but a normal girl's amount just won't do for her.
Ayane: No matter how you look at it, you can't hide the fact that she eats about twice as much as a guy would.
Nagisa: T-That's not...true! ...Maybe.
Reiji: ...
Certainly, based on the size of all of those lunches she definitely eats more than a guy.
Nagisa: To begin with, I practice kendo really hard unlike you two, much harder than a normal girl, so I need to eat a little more.
Nagisa: Although my thighs are a little more muscular than most other girls, I'm not fat...
Nagisa: ...So, I don't overeat.
Momiji: You definitely eat a lot more than what you practice for, Nagisa.
Ayane: Yup, like a pig.
Momiji: Nn. Definitely a pig.
Nagisa: Come on you two!!
Reiji: Suzushiro...
Nagisa: Don't you say it either Yoshino-kun. This bad is bad enough coming from these two.
Reiji: I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you anymore. I seem to have laid a trap for you.
Nagisa: E-Ehhh?!
Momiji: Be glad, Nagisa. At least Ryuichi isn't here.
Ayane: Yeah. At least you're dream is still intact.
Nagisa: Uuu...Everyone, you're all mean!
Ayane: There there, don't cry. We're sorry, Nagisa. We know you don't have much going for you.
Nagisa: Enough already. I know already, I'm only good with a sword, and a big old samurai girl...
Reiji: That's not true at all. R-Right, everyone?
Ayane: Yes.
Momiji: Yup. Nagisa has many good points.
Maybe they realized that they've picked on her a little too much, as Satomura and Ayamiya both quickly try and console Suzushiro
before she starts to cry.
Nagisa: ...Such as?
Ayane: Nagisa, you've got big ***. Although, not as big as mine.
Momiji: You're also cute. Though not as cute as I am. But that's ok.
Nagisa: Don't look so happy about it!!
Apparently fated to always be below these two, Suzushiro is reduced to a near-crying state again.
Still, even though they are messing with her so much, those two are doing it because they love her,
and even I can feel that feeling in the air.
Reiji: (In other words, Suzushiro's 'good qualities' are that she's easy to make fun of?)
Though I think of such a rude thing, Suzushiro has a mysterious air around her that just makes everything seem better.
