Hey everyone I just want to share my
thoughts on a recent gym experience or
express my opinion on when a personal trainer approached me
and how I felt
from what he saying. I was doing the leg press
machine so this was a seated leg
press machine where you are
pushing away and there's a weighted
stack essentially not the ones and where
you put the plates on side of them.
Anyway so I was going through, doing five sets.
five sets of ten I think it was. Cheers Tom
Tom
my coach Tom Hall, they were actually brutal.
Quick shout out to him, he runs the Push PullLegs podcast
Do check that out, anyway I had
a trainer approach me and he was
saying that he'd been watching me squat
and I can go deep and with the leg press
machine that that we had in the gym in
order to go deep he wanted me to put a
miniature BOSU ball or a stability disc
behind the back behind my back so when I
I push away from the
platform and come away when I extend and
contract I can get deeper in essentially
him what a leg pressing I was thinking
that's horrific like can you imagine the
pressure your lower back be under when
doing that that's that shocking do not
do that do not post a stability disk behind
your lower back on a leg press machine
while performing this exercise. To be honest I'm not
really sure really what's the point of
stability discs or BOSU balls in
general but never ever do that
