I would love Cheryl to come back.
So we heard the rumours, but now it's official. Simon Cowell's in talks to get Cheryl Cole
back on The X Factor.
Now the best news this week. You're coming back to the UK X Factor. Who do you want on
that panel with you, Simon?
Well, I would love Cheryl to come back, and I've got to persuade her now.
What are you going to do? Wine and dine her, maybe?
I have to.
Yeah, go on Simon. Tempt her with a few kebabs. Simon revealed the news to us at the Britain's
Got Talent open auditions in London, and it isn't just Si who's rooting to have her back.
Fellow BGT judge Aleisha Dixon is a big fan of the Geordie too.
I'm rooting for Cheryl because I think she's a gem. She's the national treasure, and for
her, I think when she left the show, I think a lot of people were quite sad to see her
go because people loved her there, so I think she'll come back and people will have their
arms wide open for her.
Oh come on, Chezza. Sign the dotted line. Meanwhile, The X Factor isn't the only thing
on Simon's mind. The soon to be father will be welcoming his first child into the world
any day now, so we asked his fellow BGT judges Aleisha, Amanda and David if they had any
parenting tips.
Just say... The biggest thing is you don't know what's going to hit you. You don't understand
quite how amazing it's going to be.
He'll be fine. The biggest thing about being a new parent is the sleep deprivation,
and Simon doesn't really sleep because he stays up all night working, so actually I don't
think it's going to change his life too much.
Just be prepared for how much he's going to love the baby because that's the most overwhelming
thing. You never are prepared for the love that you feel, and I think that's the thing
that's going to knock him for six. I've always said he'd be a great dad, so I'm thrilled for him.
Aw, Simon. You're so lucky to have such thoughtful colleagues, although I don't think he agrees.
What's the best piece of advice they've given you so far?
None. They've given me no advice at all.
-Nothing? -Nothing.
-Not even one bit of advice? -Nothing.
Moving swiftly on, Britain's Got More Talent presenter Stephen Mulhern revealed he's even
up for a bit of babysitting.
Do you know what? I've offered that up, and no one's taken me up on the offer yet. But
I'm going to tell them today that I'm not going to charge.
And surely someone must be planning a baby shower.
Don't think that's Simon's thing, to be honest. He's quite private. I mean, one of the most
famous men in the world, but actually very private, so I don't think he would be up for that.
So we're not exactly sure when mini-Cowell will be arriving, but one thing we do know.
It's going to be one spoiled baby.
