Hi there, I'm Tracy Goodwin and I'm the red sweater lady, and today we're going to be
talking about how to teach to large groups. And, what I'm talking about is how to be successful
when you're teaching to large groups. In a perfect world, all of us would teach to groups
of twenty, or twenty five, or thirty, because that allows us the most one on one interaction
with our students. And, our students tend to do a lot better with that personal interaction.
But we always don't have that luxury and sometimes we're teaching to groups of one hundred, two
hundred, three hundred or more, and this is whether you're a college professor, a high
school instructor, a work shop leader, a speaker, whatever it is, sometimes you are teaching
to a very large group. Well, there are a few things that you can do, especially when we're
talking about building relationships with students over the course of a semester, that
can help you as an instructor be more successful, as well as, help your students be more successful,
and not feel quite so like, just a number. And, there's some really easy tips that you
can follow and I'm going to give them to you right now.
