Hi everyone! In today's video I'm going to show you how to empty a Bath & Body Works
candle which you have burned right to the end so that you can use the jar for storage,
and the leftover wax as a candle tart, which you can then burn or put into a closet to
make it smell really nice.
The first step in this process is filling a kettle with water and leaving it to boil.
Meanwhile, place a deep pan on your stove top and turn it on.
When the water is boiling, remove the kettle and pour the water slowly into the pan.
Then, gently place the candle into the pan, making sure the water line is higher than
the wax.
Let the candle sit for about five minutes, after which the wax will pool.
Next, remove the candle from the pan.
Be careful, the glass can get very hot.
Turn off the stove and then pour the wax into a clean, empty yogurt cup over the sink to
avoid making a mess.
If the wick falls off like mine did, you can easily remove it with your hands or tweezers.
Now, place the cup in the freezer for about five minutes to allow it to firm up.
Use paper towels to clean the leftover wax out of the candle jar and then wash it with
soap and water.
After which the bottom label should peel right off.
Finish by removing the yogurt cup from the freezer and applying pressure to the bottom
to remove the tart.
And there you have it!
If you're a candle fanatic like me, this trick will allow you to reuse the jars and the scented
wax.
