Hi i'm Jack Hollingsworth. In this 'Picture Perfect' episode, we're going to be
sharing with you tips, on travel photography with your iPhone. The
presence of inspiring light either makes or breaks a travel photograph and can
easily turn mediocre subjects into masterful ones. Photographing doors are
one of the most popular subjects in all of photography. That's because doors
have both a literal and conceptual meaning. Using color in your photography
will add emotion, interest, point of view. More than any compositional tool you
have in your arsenal, color has the power to create emotion in your photographs.
Mood is a state of mind or feeling about a photograph. It pulls the viewer into
your photograph. The elephant is my favorite animal. I love these gentle
giants. The elephant's darker skin will fool your exposure meter, so you need to
gently underexpose or darken your photograph. The Taj Mahal at Agra is
truly one of the wonders of the world. I like looking for frames to shoot my
subject through, natural and man-made. When I'm shooting local street photography I
use a combination approach, both
candid and staged shots. I am increasingly using the Moment 2X Telephoto Lens for a
lot of my mobile portrait work.
Markets are the perfect place to test your compositional skills like symmetry,
pattern, repetition, color. For this type of content, I find myself bracketing
and shooting different exposures of the same scene to get what I want. If I find
myself wanting to shoot interiors or kitchen stuff then I'll either brace
myself on a table or against the wall or even use my knee photo tripod.
