I chose Rogue Community College for my training in early childhood because I met with some
advisors and they were very encouraging they described the program here at Rogue and it
was everything I was looking for. During my time here as a student here at RCC I was the
recipient of the John and Betty Gray scholarship and it was very instrumental in helping me
to graduate from RCC in a timely manner. I am very thankful and grateful for the John
and Betty Gray scholarship. Early childhood teachers, early childhood education we are
responsible for those, those early learning skills that early development in a child that
they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. It is imperative that a child
have a positive, positive early childhood experience.
My most favorite thing about with working with children is after going through the process
of teaching them the concepts, introducing learning skills to them, the day or the moment
that their eyes light up and say you know they tell me I've got it, I understand and
that's just a great moment for me. During my coursework at Rogue Community I
did take many online courses. I chose the online courses because I did have a small
child at home and just the convenience of them. And I was able to finish both my degrees
from RCC in a more timely manner. I would highly recommend Rogue Community College for
anyone seeking a degree in early childhood or just a refresher of what they might have
learned years ago, come back and take some of the classes, I wish I could come back.
