The three of us created the 9eme concept.
We were into graffiti and tag but not that much at the end, the spray wasn't really our medium.
Jerk was coming from the punk culture, a different movement, he was into stencils...
so we started to do stencils...
Then, we wanted to do things that would not deteriorate.
We got the opportunity to print stickers,
so we printed I can't remember how many stickers - 5000
Yes 5000 stickers, we sticked them in Paris and that's how the group started.
We wanted to build a new model,
proving that at some point you can succeed as a collective,
that you can share, train youngsters,
that you can develop an economic relationship with brands
but at the same time create your own exhibitions.
We created something atypical.
The great thing with ART AND PASS is that we gonna see all kind of artists,
some will draw, others work with volumes, there are photographers
so we'll go from one surprise to another.
We mainly work now in... - Digital
First we draw, then we scan, we edit,
afterwards we print and draw again.
It's a multimedia work at the end.
On the other hand, Jerk is more traditional in his work, through paint and collage.
It's about interlocking objects and volumes that I transcribe into characters.
Actually, this project is about sharing - And evolving.
And we already worked like that, passing a drawing or a canvas to one another.
We've done that before!
It's obvious for us to participate in the ART AND PASS project.
It's a collective piece,
we created the base with Ned, on a theme we are working on at the moment.
We gonna print the piece on paper,
and then we're going to touch it up with paint, in pencil, with different technics
We're lucky to do the first piece, but we're three working on it,
it would be totally different if each one was doing his own piece.
We're already matching the concept.
We're already in that idea of movement.
We started to work on the piece and then Jerk will carry on and give it a new twist.
I like to work over people's images in general, or all kinds of backgrounds,
So I adapt!
I like to add something or even delete a part.
Once the piece will be finished, it will go to Spain and to Germany to be reinterpreted.
The 'family tree' starts to grow.
I think there will be interesting encounters,
gathering artists form other countries or other influences, that's a great thing.
We're looking forward to see how it's gonna evolve...
