We could talk about this one too. But, I have no space to put that.I'm putting this here.
The top of Lykavittos. It's Ayios Georgios of Lykavittos.
It was very hot when I went there. My family was abroad, and I went on Lykavittos.
it was a full day but it was very hot, I walked in by myself and as I went inside I lit a candle and I
discussed with a man who was selling komboloya. He had a farm in Argos, he is producing oranges in Argos.
So we discussed about my job, and he had 40 stremmata (4 acres) of oranges in Argos.
If you go on the Bosphorus, you can see Ayia Sophia, Sultan Mehmet mosque
A lot of mosques and a lot of minarets.
Quite some movement in Istanbul , there is construction, always some construction and also
some movement starting from the center. I wanted to show how dynamic is the process of
the construction also on a , let 's say , political way and also on a growing population of 70 million .
It's a boiling Istanbul.
I realized that tulips are coming from this area of the world. I had a neighbor who comes from Chios and he told me
that in Chios we have the Tourkoloulades. I love tulips in general,
their origins can also be found on some plates or ceramics in Greece but also in Turkey.
The bulbs are very important because the bulbs are full of energy . They stay in the ground
and when the spring arrives they produce beautiful vegetation and flowers, for a few weeks.
In this country we have the chance to see almond trees flowering at the end of January.
Generally what I do is that in mid-January I start to cut some branches and force push
them to flower in my house. It's also a plant I encountered a lot in north Spain , where
we have the family house. That was not my first , but my earliest contact with Mediterrranean
culture. Because I am from the north of France, so I never saw a lot of sunlight in my young years.
That's why I am staying in this country. Here, along with some parts of Italy is one of the
best areas to live. I am an agronomist so I love the plants and the vegetation.
