This is Nepal - a region that boasts eight of the world's ten highest mountains.
Synonymous with the Himalayan peaks are the Sherpas, who pride themselves on their mountain
climbing ability.
But it's not all about scaling lofty terrain - the Himalayan Sherpa Football Club was founded
in 2006 and since then the team have firmly established themselves as one of the most
important teams in the national league.
President of the club, Karma Tsering Sherpa, says the team shows the diverse skills of
his people.
"Our main aim is to unite the young people who came here to Kathmandu from the Himalayas.
We also want to show that sherpas are not only mountain climbers but can also be involved
in football and other sports. These are the main reasons why we established the Himalayan
Sherpa Club."
As is the case with many football clubs in Nepal, HSC's main issues are a lack of financing
and first-class training facilities.
Despite the adversity, with their experience on Everest, the Sherpas believe that any goal,
no matter how high, is potentially within their reach.
