- I read this really interesting quote the other day
about how people that get jet lagged,
it's because their soul takes a while to catch up with them.
And think the same is true of moving.
I think your heart takes a little while to catch up.
That's poetic.
Write that one down, that's a good one.
I have the camera on my desk,
balanced so badly, if Sami saw it, he would kill me
because this lens is expensive.
And my light is just there.
I'm not any, well normally we put so much effort
into light and having it, wait.
Okay am I visible?
We've been packing today.
Mom's cried like multiple times.
You know, I mean if you haven't moved out yet,
you wouldn't have experienced this,
but moms get emotional.
They're like emotional beings.
Yeah so as I was saying, everything's in boxes,
and I've just been feeling like melancholy.
Which is an interesting sensation to describe.
You're happy, but reflective in a nostalgic sad way,
but not being unhappy.
Two years ago I moved back from Uni,
and I think we've mentioned this in multiple videos,
but our time at Uni was not good.
I didn't like it, and I was so happy to move back home.
And now it's weird, because I'm eager to move out,
but now it's happening.
I'm sad.
Okay, so I'm making this video for any of you
that have yet to move out or to do the packing up
to move out process.
This video is a guide to what's gonna happen.
I mean, I've only just started so I probably won't
hit all of the points.
- I'm not in the video with Niki
because he's got his life together more than me today.
I've tried to pack, like honestly, I've tried to pack,
but everything just keeps getting in the way,
like family or weird singing renditions of Sia
in front of the mirror.
(singing karaoke style)
Even look, I have a variety of condiments
and peanut butter.
There is at least one tub of peanut butter on top there.
- First thing when you move out,
in the packing process, you will pack
all of your good clothes.
So you will wear the clothes you do not want to wear.
This shirt has a thing where, like a pocket
was supposed to be, and it was never there,
there's no lie to this, there was never a pocket.
One thing that I've actually struggled with
is choosing what to keep and what to throw away.
There is no way you need those stickers that you got
from the library when you did that reading contest
at the age of 12, and they like, you collected them,
and when got 12, you won a free book or something.
You don't need that now.
You don't.
You don't need that.
Your mom might want to keep it,
but you don't need it.
So you need to start being like strict
on what you need in your life.
Allergies.
You will realize that allergies are a thing.
They are inconvenient in most points of your life.
Hay fever is a ***.
I've said this already, but I've been wearing these glasses
all day because otherwise my eyes
would resemble tiny cherry tomatoes.
Fun fact: most things make my eyes red.
Dust included, and acorn.
This is important, do not, do not,
do not listen to sad music.
Or music that's like slightly dramatic,
because you will get very sad.
Also I'm sorry that you can only see
like 1/10th of my body in this shot.
There's just literally nowhere,
if I could show you, oh I'm gonna show you.
(soft jazz piano)
Ow, my thumb is stuck, ow.
Mirror.
Oh I'm zoomed in!
Fan is the only way I can sleep at night.
I have to have a fan.
Plant.
Lights.
This is my lighting set up.
Oh I didn't realize I was zoomed in at all.
Wait that looks gross though.
Let's zoom in a little.
- We are, of course, filming the whole moving out process
cause I think that's something I want to look back on.
I think that will be fun.
I hope.
Good luck moving out if you're moving out.
Let me know in the comments.
I want to know what you're doing with your life.
It would be great to read your comments
on any advice you have for me moving out,
because technically my moving out date
is the day after I upload this, so Monday.
Anyway, I'm gonna go.
And probably eat more chocolate and Indian food.
It was so, so YOLO.
- I'd like espresso and a Sprite Zero.
I'm gonna *** myself.
- *** yourself and have shakes.
- That's what these direct tease are!
You know the ones like, right sorry--
- Drink less than your lethal body weight.
No you won't.
You urinate every good bit of--
- So yeah, these drinks they advertised,
I've seen YouTubers advertising them--
- Oh is it like--
- They're like buy these (bleep) or like this.
(rap music)
