A lot of people with really dry skin have the problem that nothing really penetrates
the dryness and nothing works. One of the first things that I tell people about is first
look at your diet a little bit. You want to include avocado. You want to include some
almond oil into your diet to make sure that you're hydrating your skin from the inside
out.
One of the ingredients that I love for treating the skin on the outside is strawberries. Strawberries
are really great for dry skin. They really hydrate and nourish the skin, and they give
a lot of vitamin C which is such an important building block for just having really great,
balanced, glowy skin on a daily basis.
As far as treatments in a salon are concerned, I would want to use masks that contain something
called hyaluronic acid, which is something that occurs naturally in your own skin. But
it is also found in fruits and vegetables. It holds 1,000 times its weight in water.
So it's a really important ingredient. It's something that's really popular in serums,
and in moisturizers, and even facial masks. So if you're in a store looking for a great
product for dry skin I would look for hyaluronic acid as a key ingredient.
Another treatment that's really great for dry skin is oxygen treatments. When it's infused
with green tea, vitamins, and aloe, and, again, hyaluronic acid, you're going to find that
your skin becomes instantly glowing.
And that's really what you're looking for out of facial treatments and out of skin care
products in general. If you don't see an instant difference in your skin then that product
isn't working for you. So that's kind of a barometer for you to use in everyday life.
If you buy a product, put it on your skin, and you see no difference in your skin I don't
think it's the right product for you.
So, if you have dry skin and you're not knowing what to do, look for hyaluronic acid, eat
more avocado and almond oil in your diet, and go get an oxygen facial.
