Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in NYC. Today here on behalf of Expert Village I'm going
to show you how to make homemade chicken noodle soup. I got a fresh clove of garlic a lot
of times you can just break the garlic right off like so. If not you can give it a punch
with your knife like so back of your knife and I'm going to use about 4 cloves of garlic
and I'm going to mince it up. Let it out of the shell give it a punch with the back of
your knife like so and don't be afraid to hit it. You see that all of the garlic comes
right out nice and easy and a lot of times you have that stem up there, make sure you
get rid of that stem it's hard and ugly. Get all the garlic out of your shell if you see
that there is hard shell, hard stem get rid of that and that's it we have our nice garlic
here. We're going to mince that up and put that in the pot as well. So you're just going
to cut your garlic in one way the same way you did your onions. Just be careful that
you don't cut your fingers take your time it's not a race. Get all your garlic all nice
and minced and you're going to use that same chopping motion. They're kind of big you don't
want it to be this big you want it to be nice working pieces so you're working the blade,
the back of blade lifting your shoulder up and just start chopping move it in and move
it in. You see working the knife back and forth until you get the desired consistency
into small dice, minced. We're just going to pick this up and put this into our pot,
you put it right in there with the chicken and the onion.
