Today I’m going to talk to you about our Big Print newspaper. So, what is Big Print?
Well Big Print we hope fills a need for people that are struggling to read their standard
newspapers but still want to have that experience of sitting down with a cup of tea catching
up on the latest gossip. So it’s a large print newspaper, a lot bigger in terms of
the print size than a standard newspaper and the layout is very clear.
The paper itself arrives in time for the weekend so you can sit down and catch up on all the
news that’s happened during the week before in the leisure of your own home. It contains
a roundup of the national and international news as well as sport news, celebrity and
pop gossip, and then probably one of the most popular features is our puzzle page with a
crossword that you can either use the quick clues or indeed if you’re feeling up to
it, the cryptic clues. Accompanying the newspaper we include a TV
and radio guide supplement. It contains all the main channels, such as; BBC1, BBC2, ITV1,
Channel 4 and Channel 5 as well as TV regional variations. In the radio section we have Radios
2, 3, 4, 4 Extra, 5 Live and Classic FM. The supplement is really useful if you want to
plan ahead for your weeks viewing or listening, sitting back and highlighting what you’re
going to watch in the week ahead and hopefully no arguments like I have with my husband at
the weekend. We have thousands of people who subscribe
to Big Print Newspaper, some people buy for themselves; others get given it as a gift
especially over Christmas time by a family friend or a family member. Also we have libraries
who subscribe to it so that its down in your local library so you can sit and browse through
it, as well as some hotels. As I mentioned before, Big Print Newspaper
is available on subscription and costs about £1.25 an issue. I hope that you have found
this information useful and that you join the thousands of others and get on with reading
your newspaper and TV guide every week.
