here in Stornoway it's been 15 days that we left
and we are waiting for some better weather conditions
to go up north heading to the feroe islands
the departure was a moment with great emotion
we were very happy to leave
but still a bit worried to leave those that we like
when we left Concarneau we set sail
to the western extremity of france
we passed the "raz de Sein"
arrived in the north of ireland
we started to attack the scottish part of the trip
we saw, for the first time of the expedition
the snow on the far away summits
and it's some incredible landscapses
one day we woke up, there was hundreds of dolphins auround the boat
it was nice, for hours and hours they came they went they jumped
the downside was the technical problems
we had some but for moment nothing bad
and it's normal problems for an expedition like this
there's always some maintenance and small things to improve
there was some problems that bothered loic, the mechanic, and I
it was a doubt on the oil cooling of the left side engine
we had to unmount, inspect, mount and test, everything went well
after the problem solved, we can finally leave...
after the problem solved, we can finally leave...
one morning, after some strong wind, we realized that
we lost a lath on the main sail
so Bilou, our super skipper and godfather
did a makeshift repair with a piece of wood found in the woods
it will make an excellent mainsail lath, a scottish one
completely with the Under The Pole and Explore spirit
we do with the well done nature
over the mechanical problems
we had to compose with the meteorological issues
here we are in the chart table spot
it's where we do the navigation
it's where we trace de best routes
for the destinations we want want to reach
depending on the meteorological conditions
we have a trip that leads us to the north
and we know that in winter it's not very cool
for the meteorological conditions
that's why we took the sheltered route
to go through the storms
it's nice with these stops for technical or meteorological reasons
because we can go on ground
and discoverer the place, the local lifestyle, the little towns
here in Stornoway it's a little big bigger
there was this stop in Ellen port, really nice
we went to the distillery to visit and taste their whiskey

they're really nice, i prefer this one than the other classical one
they're really nice, i prefer this one than the other classical one
this one you have wear a helmet, i wouldn't drink it
French rugby seen by a Scottish
no more need to wear a cap or gloves
french joke
our godfather a friend, Bilou, left us
he went back to Concarneau after 15 days of naviguation with us
it was extraordinary
he transmitted his meteorological knowledge
and now it's Anthony Savary who will skip the boat
and who will also do all the meteorological work
for the next stages to come
