Hi! In this video I'll be speedpainting one of the illustrations to be put on display
in my first art exhibition, starting this Wednesday 19 th of June, at "La Oveja Negra", Murcia (Spain)
I'll put the Facebook event down there as soon as it will be available, I'll be very pleased if you could go there to take a look!
This couple of illustrations will be shown there too
I'm thinking about raffling a copy of one of these for you, but I'll do that once I have some spare time.
During Friday, 28 th of June, I'll be at the Vloggers Now! 2 presentation at Barcelona!
I'm so eager for that day to come, there's so many people I want to meet!
Of course, I'll be in Murcia the 13 th of July for the book presentation too.
I couldn't upload as many videos as I would like to...
but to make up for that, the next video is almost finished! So you will be able to see it very soon
so that's it, here comes the speedpaint, see you!
Everything started with this picture a girl in a Paintchat I was drew...
I copied it and started my own drawing. While she did a Katrina-like character, I ended up with what you are going to see.
This video sums up in a bit more than 3 minutes... 16 hours and 15 minutes of work!
And I'm not even showing the entire process of the illustration since I had no plans to record it at first...
Once I realised it would be a very labourious task I decided to do so
So here it is.
This stuff I'm drawing is like... Things popping out of the character.
Being my first art exhibition, I tried to do something heavily detailed. That's what people usually like in my drawings...
That arm, well, hand you saw there is a photo of my sister's. Lately, I've been using a lot of anatomy references.
Then I add a lot of "speech bubbles" surrounding the character...
Each one will have a little drawing inside.
Among these, there's stuff like this one, a little reminder of my Eevee's drawing
(That one got a speedpaint video too)
Some drawings here are older ones I never cared to finish
It's like a big drawing made out of scraps
I used to draw eyes like that a lot...
This character comes from another drawing, too...
A rejected one...
It had lots of details here and there in the original one, so this will be a lighter version of it.
...There's so many stuff inside
Some stars, that one with its belly (I love that)
A landscape...
Another ornamental part like the one on top...
This one has stitches, buttons and staples...
Birdie!
The bouquet. Oh Lord, the bouquet.
I had to paint each strand one by one...
It was worth the effort, but it ended up looking like... worms?
I added leaves and opened the strands ends to avoid that.
A lot of time was put into that...
Geometric shapes to fill up the background...
I don't know why I added blue hues there...
That part is like an open mouth bear!
There's a wing there, I like drawing them...
Dress details. I should have put more time on that...
I like a lot this scene (I tend to love things that glow in the dark, like the flowers there)
An egg!
More stuff to fill up... And more flowers!
Here's a fish...
Now it's the dragon's turn. I love drawing dragons.
Maybe I should speedpaint one of them...
Here's some kind of metallic mess... A pencil!
This is the littlest character and most detailed of them all...
And... Oh look, a rabbit.
I put him hands after realizing how horrible the paws were...
Look, anothe bird.
Some more details... I took my time with the hand references... without them they would look so bad...
Now it's time to switch from Sai to Photoshop.
Then I adjust the colors everywhere...
I add some texture to the dress...
It's all about corrections and adjustments all over the place.
Just one more space texture there and I'm done with it!
Here are the final results.
I hope you liked it, see you in the next video! :D
