Hello folks, I'm Patrick Case, the President of National Readerboard Supply.
Today's video series is about
head angle
The importance of this letter changer is very critical. For one always use a letter
changer folks. Don't have kids climb up on the ladders, it's only a matter of
time before there's a slip and fall...and then you've got a workman's comp claim!
And it's just not worth the trouble. Letter changes are inexpensive and they work great.
But I'm gonna show you what I see out in the field. First of all
How you change this head angle is right here.
it's got a wing nut
you just loosen it up a bit. It allows the head to ratchet in different angles, different positions.
And we are gonna tighten it back up, about right here. And you just simply tighten it up
that wing nut right back up again
and you have changed your head angle. It is that simple. That fast.
This is an angle that I see frequently.
And, what this does, it makes the kid stand directly below the sign. You can't see
what you're doing.
It's a poor angle
this really doesn't work.
Unfortunately, I see a lot of people out in the field doing it this way. No
wonder it takes some forty five minutes to an hour change the sign. It shouldn't take
any time at all but
this is what they're doing. It will never work successfully.
The other option that I see commonly, there is again a poor angle. i think all I'm gonna do
is loosen that up a little bit
adjust my angle.
Tighten it back down again.
A matter of a second or two and you're done.
This angle right here is another common one I see. In this angle
the pole is so far away from the sign that you can't reach it, in and your jabbing at
the sign. Your poking at it to try and get it to stick.
It's frustrating, it doesn't work well.
Your pole is not long enough, it puts you too far away from the sign.
This is again, a poor angle. Now we have shown you two ways to do wrong, now lets show you how to do
it right.
We are gonna loosen up our wing nut.
adjust our cup angle
to just about forty five degrees or so.
Tighten our wing nut back down again.
And now at this angle right here, this is a successful angle for a number of reasons.
One, you're standing at a good degrees away from your sign. You can see what you're
doing. You can see the angle of everything
and it's set up to where
as you're touching the pole, standing out way from the front of the sign it's
hitting the letters flat and it gets the suction very, very easily.
Also, when you're going into the ground
you are standing up, the letters are flat on the ground and you are pushing down the on the suction
cup. It's a natural angle for being at that angle to get your letters
on your suction cup and put them up on your sign.
It's that simple folks.
These suction cups are designed to make your life simple, not more difficult.
The signs are really easy to use, It is just a matter of understanding just a bit and
that what we're here to do.
