I'm Marlene Spiegel, Founding Team Leader from Wildtree. I'm here on behalf of Expert
Village to tell you how to make some quick and easy beer bread. First, you take a package
of the beer bread and put it in a contaner to mix. Then you add six ounces of beer for
half a loaf. That's what I'm making right now. You stir it up. Now, while you're doing
this and while we're talking about this, you can make a little variation on the beer bread.
You can also add jalepeno seasonings. You can add a cheddar cheese. You can add garlic
and herb to make a garlic beer bread, onion and chive for the onion and chive favorites.
So just make it your tasting. I'm just going to make a plain one today, although I do like
the jalepeno. I'm very partial to hot stuff. And then, in a greased pie tin, and I always
make the half loaves even if I'm going to make a whole loaf, I make two loaves. And
that's just a personal preference. And the reason being, is cause then I will take one
and freeze it and so the next time I'm going to have it, it's already made. I just take
it out in the morning and let it defrost all day or as long as it needs. And then, voila!
Now, here's your beer bread. I'm going to pop this in the oven at 325 and I'm going
to let it cook for about 40 to 45 minutes. If you have a convection oven, it's about
10 to 15minutes less. So, we'll pop this right in the oven. And, voila! When we're finished,
here's your finished product. And this is just a wonderful bread and it's excellent
with that tortilla soup that we just did. And at that first second, they'll want to
dip this right in.
