To use the free campus Wifi and the $12 NetPrint allowrance for current CBC students,
you need to activate your network Account first.
From the CBC homepage,
under My CBC,
click on Wireless Access and Printing.
Instructions on how to configure your laptop and other devices can be found here.
But first click on Enable/Disable Your Network Account.
Login with your Student ID and PIN.
Click on Enable Account.
Wait for up to 5 minutes before trying to connect to the Wifi or use NetPrint.
After you activated your NetAccount, go to columbiabasin.edu/netprint.
Scroll down and click on NetPrint Login.
This is the NetPrint login page.
Your username is your student ID and the password is the same PIN number.
The password needs to be 6 digits.
If your PIN is 4 digits such as 1234, add two 0s to the beginning to make it 001234.
Login.
You should see $12 in your account.
If it shows $0, log out and login again to refresh.
To print, first Save the document and close it.
As of 2012, 4 types of files are supported: Word, Excel, PDF, and XPS.
Suppose I want to print this sample paper from OWL,
I will save this PDF first to "My Documents".
Click on "Save".
And then go back to NetPrint.
And then click on "Web Print".
And then "Submit a Job".
Choose a printer that is closest to where you are.

I am going to choose the Library Black & White Printer here.
Go to next step
I only need one copy, so I make no change over here.
Click on step 3, "Upload document".
Now click on "Browse" to browse for the PDF that I just saved in "My Documents".

Click on "Open".
Upload and complete.
I can see the status is submitting
and it's rendering the job.
And now I see that it's held in a queue. So I am going to click on "held in a queue".
Review that I have 11 pages, which is going to take out $.33 from my account.
So I can either click on "print" or click on "cancel".

After you printed, remember to logout.
To save a Powerpoint 2010 document as an XPS file, click "File", "Save As"
And then change the "Save as type" to "XPS document".
Click "Options".
And then choose "Publish what": Handouts
I would like to have 6 Slides per page.
And then click on "OK".
Click save.
Now I have saved this file as XPS in my folder "Inbox".
It's ready to print with NetPrint.
