Have you tried the live view mode for tethered shooting with Capture One?
It's not the same as the live view mode when you're using a small DSLR screen
Rather, it's a way of working and shooting with a large color corrected computer monitor
I'm using a Phase One 645DF with the 120 millimeter macro lens and
P65+ digital back tethered to the to the Computer. The Capture One also supports a range
Of other Phase One, Mamiya and Leaf…
digital cameras and backs
Set your camera to T-mode
and connect it using the firewire cable to your computer
Now Press the release to open the shutter…
and then start live view in Capture One
You will find the live view icon in the Capture tooltab and shortly the live view image will appear
The live view window offers a re-sizeable viewer, A live view navigator…
And a number of other controls
Lightness and quality only affects the live view window, not the capture made by your camera
The live view image itself can be viewed as either high RGB,
Or in black and white
In RGB mode, the white balance picker can be used to set a suitable white balance…
for the live view window
But this doesn't affect your captures
The grid in live view…
is really useful for refining the design of your set
And perfecting the composition
Well the overlay function is used when you're shooting for a predefined lay-out
Such as a magazine cover or a display ad
This is the same feature that you will find in the composition tooltab in Capture One
We're almost ready to make our exposure
All I have to do is close to shutter,
And then take the camera…
Off the timer
I come over to Capture One
Close down live view…
Now from within Capture One I can change my camera settings, my shutter speed…
I need to make that at 1/125th and my aperture
All I need to do now is to press capture
