Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, Wells Fargo continued its partnership with
nonprofit GRID Alternatives for its first solar-power system installation on the East
Coast.
Today the team is going to be installing actual solar panels up on the roof down on the far
side of the building into the inverter and back into the electric service panels so it
can provide clean power to the house.
This home in Asbury Park, New Jersey, is one of several that will be powered by solar energy,
thanks to GRID Alternatives.
We have a lot of crew members setting up, up on the roof and the solar is supposed to
help us out with electricityÖ Save a lot of money and weíre looking forward to it.
In 2012, the California-based nonprofit received a $2 million 5-year grant from the Wells Fargo
Foundation to begin serving communities across the country.
Itís going to save each homeowner I think the approximation is about nine hundred dollars
a year in electrical bills, so huge savings and the home owners are really grateful and
about which makes you feel like a million bucks.
